Return Policy Overview

At Busk, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If an item doesn’t meet your expectations, our returns policy is designed to protect buyers while being fair to sellers.

Eligibility for Returns

You may request a return within 7 days of delivery if:

  • The item is significantly different from the description provided
  • The condition of the item is worse than stated in the listing
  • The item is the wrong size (if specified incorrectly in listing)
  • The item arrives damaged (not related to normal wear and tear)
  • You received the wrong item entirely

Non-Returnable Situations

Returns will not be accepted in the following cases:

  • Change of mind or buyer’s remorse
  • Item matches the description and condition stated
  • Sizing issues when the size was clearly stated in the listing
  • Return request made after the 7-day window
  • Item has been worn, washed, or altered after delivery

How to Initiate a Return

  1. Contact the Seller: Within 7 days of receiving the item, message the seller through your dashboard explaining the issue. Many issues can be resolved directly with the seller.
  2. Document the Issue: Take clear photos showing the discrepancy between the listing and what you received.
  3. Open a Return Request: If you cannot resolve the issue with the seller, open a formal return request through your order page in your dashboard.
  4. Busk Review: Our team will review the case, comparing the listing details with your documentation.
  5. Return Authorization: If approved, you’ll receive instructions for returning the item.

Return Shipping

Return shipping costs depend on the reason for return:

  • Seller’s fault (item not as described, wrong item, damaged): Seller pays return shipping
  • Buyer’s preference (if accepted by seller): Buyer pays return shipping

Items must be returned in the same condition they were received. Use tracked shipping methods and keep proof of postage.

Refund Process

Once the seller receives and confirms the return:

  • Full refund (including original shipping) if item was not as described
  • Refund processed within 5 business days
  • Refund issued to original payment method
  • You’ll receive an email confirmation when the refund is processed

Damaged or Lost Shipments

If your item arrives damaged or gets lost in transit:

  • Report the issue immediately through your dashboard
  • Provide photos of damaged packaging and items
  • For lost items, wait for the maximum delivery timeframe before reporting
  • We’ll work with you and the seller to resolve the situation

Tips for a Smooth Return

  • Always communicate politely and clearly with sellers
  • Act promptly – the 7-day window starts from delivery date
  • Package returns carefully to prevent damage during transit
  • Keep all documentation until the return is fully processed
  • Check your email regularly for updates on your return request

Disputes

If you and the seller cannot reach an agreement, Busk will mediate the dispute. We’ll review all evidence and make a final decision based on our policies and the facts of the case.

Important Note

As a marketplace for pre-loved uniforms, all items are secondhand unless explicitly stated otherwise. Normal wear consistent with the item's age and stated condition is expected and not grounds for return. Please review listings carefully before purchasing.
